Saturday night in Toronto belonged to the visitors. Bo Horvat scored the winner and added an assist as the New York Islanders beat the Maple Leafs 4-1, per the AP.

Anthony Duclair opened the scoring in the first period, and Horvat made it 2-0 with 1:27 left in the second. That sequence stung for Toronto: No. 1 overall pick Gavin McKenna fired high and wide on a partial breakaway, and the Islanders scored on the rush the other way.

Colton Sissons got the Leafs within one early in the third, but Simon Holmstrom scored twice, the second into an empty net. Goalie Ilya Sorokin made 28 saves for his 158th career win, moving into sole possession of second place in Islanders history, the team said.

New York is now 4-3-1. Toronto is 3-4-2 and has lost three straight and four of its last five.

What's next: The Leafs host San Jose on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Islanders are home against Anaheim on Tuesday.
