Most TV analysts don't own a piece of a team in the Finals. Renee Montgomery does.

Montgomery, a former WNBA All-Star who won two titles as a player and finished her career with the Dream, is a part-owner of Atlanta. She's also an on-site studio analyst, alongside host Elle Duncan, for USA Network's coverage of the Finals against the Golden State Valkyries.

She told Front Office Sports that none of her employers has given her guidelines about covering her own team, and a USA Network source confirmed there are no restrictions, Awful Announcing reported. "I'm sure that if I had companies that I worked for that felt like there was a bias, I'm sure that they would let me know," she said. She did acknowledge the role might deserve more scrutiny if she were calling games instead of analyzing them from the studio.

Fun bonus: before Game 2, E! airs a one-hour Live From the Orange Carpet special hosted by Lilly Singh, celebrating the league's fashion and culture.

What's next: Golden State leads 1-0. Game 2 is Monday at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network, CNBC and E!, with the orange carpet show at 6 p.m. ET.
