Back-to-back games are supposed to be exhausting. The Bruins beat the Kings 4-1 in Los Angeles on Saturday, 23 hours after winning in Anaheim, per the Press-Enterprise.
LA scored 31 seconds in, but David Pastrnak tied it on a breakaway in the second period, on National Pasta Day, no less. Marat Khusnutdinov knocked in the go-ahead rebound with 6:24 left, and Elias Lindholm and JJ Peterka added empty-netters. Jeremy Swayman made 25 saves.
“I think the calmness and the inside confidence, the healthy confidence – we know what to do,” Pastrnak said, per the team. Boston is 7-2-0 and beat all three California teams on this trip.
For the Kings, it's grim. They're 0-4-2, and it's the first time they've gone six straight games without a win since 1984, the Press-Enterprise reported. “That’s frustrating and disappointing,” coach Peter Laviolette said.
What's next: Boston visits Dallas on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. The Kings try again Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET in Washington.
