Sports executives rarely say "we're sorry." Tennessee Titans CEO Burke Nihill just did.

"The first thing I would say back to the fans is just that we're sorry," Nihill told ESPN's Turron Davenport. "We've let our fans down because football is supposed to be fun."

It's been a rough stretch. The Titans are 0-5 in coach Robert Saleh's first season, they've lost 33 of their last 39 games, and their offence is averaging a league-low 11.6 points a game. Nihill still backed Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi. "The train is on the tracks," he said. "It just hasn't picked up momentum, but it will."

Saleh is staying positive, too. "When I tell you guys that the sun is going to shine on this organization eventually, it's going to shine," he said.

If you're a Titans fan, we see you. Hang in there.

What's next: Tennessee visits the Indianapolis Colts (2-3) on Sunday at 11 a.m. MT on Fox.
